ISSS Processing Times

ISSS requires up to ten business days to process requests. Weekends and days that the office is closed do not count as business days.

You can always check the status of your request in your ISSS Portal Control Center. If you have questions about your request or have an urgent reason it must be processed sooner, you can submit a Request Inquiry in your ISSS Portal. Only truly urgent cases that involve a possible loss of status/benefits or a possible denial of re-entry will be deemed "urgent" and given priority.

ISSS will email you if any further clarification is needed regarding your request. You will also receive an email from ISSS once the request is processed.

Please note: If your request has an approver, your 10-day timeline does not begin until your approver submits their portion of the request. This may be your academic advisor, graduate coordinator, or funding sponsor. If your request was placed in “clarification requested” status, the 10-day timeline resets after you resubmit with the required changes.
