Student Health Services

Current international students should visit Student Health Services for non-urgent and sick care during clinic hours. All students who register for one or more hours and are assessed the Health Fee are eligible to use all the services of the on-campus clinic.

If you are using outside health insurance not provided by ISU, you may still be able to use Student Health Services. You should also be able to utilize local healthcare facilities. Please check with your insurance provider directly for details regarding available providers.

One good place to start is discussing with your insurance company which providers are in your network and covered by your insurance. You may also with to utilize online directories such as:

Emergency Healthcare

The emergency room is for life-threatening, truly emergent health circumstances outside of your control. Non-life-threatening health conditions should be treated at an urgent care facility. If you have a life-threatening emergency, call 911 for ambulance transportation to a local hospital emergency room.
